This is the Latin Quarter, with its quiet narrow streets, open markets, quality food retailers, and of course the rich history from the time when Paris was called Lutetia, through the remains of the roman arena“arênes de Lutèces” (1st century AD, this amphitheater is considered the longest of its kind constructed by the Romans) on rue Monge or the Terms of Cluny by Blvd Saint Michel. Later on (Middle age) it’s the presence of many churches and convent in the neighborhood which reminds us of the strong christian current. In terms of access to department stores for groceries, you will have access to a “Carrefour” only 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment, on rue Monge (next block), where you will find also find the famous bakery Kayser. For fresh vegetable fruit cheese fish and meat, do not miss the open air market on Place Maubert Mutualité (where teaching in Latin used to take place during the Middle Age) every two days.
This spacious and luxury apartment will enchant you by its tranquility (6th floor), brightness and view!! what better can you dream of when you have a chance to see on your left Notre Dame’s top and on your right the roof of an other church called St Nicholas du Chardonnay. The best bakeries from the Latin quarter are all at your door step (Kayser), and a well known Pastry shop “Le Merveilleux” (only 2 in Paris).
Once you enter, you will have access to a long corridor with a small window (giving on the roof tops of Paris), covered with beautiful parquet, wooden floor. The right part of the corridor will take you to a spacious living room with a full compact kitchen (hidden behind doors) fully equipped with dishwasher, family size fridge, freezer, coffee machine, oven, and beautiful set of dishes to entertain your guests. A dining table for 4, next to the compact kitchen with modern design furniture/chairs.There is also a home cinema with screen projector system with integrated sono, Internet, WIFI The livingroom is really bright thanks to 2 windows and being on a high floor. The wooden parquet gives a vercy nice glow and warmth to the room. Sufficient chairs and armchairs for 4 to 6 people where you can sit and relax after a long day running out through the city.
The bedroom in the apartment is at the end of a hallway going to the left from the entrance door, so everyone has privacy going to the bathroom and the shower and it’s at the opposite side of the living room. There is a widow that gives on an internal court so very peaceful. There is a tall dresser where you could put your clothes. The bedroom has a very modern style, but still keeps a romantic touch.
