A few steps away is the beautiful jardin des Plantes (Botanical gardens) – a huge span of greenery to fill your lungs with oxygen, and also for nice garden lunch. Next door is also the Arenes de Lutèce (Roman Amphitheatre renovated by Victor Hugo and dedicated to the French goddess Lutetia) – good to have a picnic lunch amidst birds and flowers and watch locals play ”petanque”.
