The Louvre (1er arrondissement) in the very centre of Paris, boasts many of the city’s tourist hot-spots and cafés.
Visit the Louvre Museum, home to the famous Mona Lisa, or the L’Orangerie, with Monet’s Waterlilies paintings. You can also relax in the beautiful Tuileries Gardens nearby.
Forum des Halles is ideal for shopping, but Place Vendôme has the ultimate in designer stores. Alternatively, check out the collectors’ market on Avenue de Marigny.
Notable Louvre bridges are Pont Neuf, the oldest in Paris, and Pont des Arts. The latter is popular for picnics or a romantic evening watching the boats glide along the Seine.Pin It
